For the Friday before Halloween 2021, the Advanced Quantum Testbed at Berkeley Lab showcased the theory of mechanics.
The Advanced Quantum Testbed (AQT) at Berkeley Lab is capturing headlines again. An in-depth piece by HPCwire about AQT as part of the broad efforts and partnerships funded by the U.S. Department of Energy Office of Science to advance quantum computing in the United States. Featuring insights from AQT director Irfan Siddiqi, head of hardware Kasra Nowrouzi, and communications lead
Ravi Naik AQT measurement lead shared his background, from studying physics early in his teenage years to discovering quantum information science and the evolution of his current role at AQT.
El programa del AQT en Berkeley Lab reúne a diversos investigadores para la informática cuántica.
Since its foundation, the collaborative vision of AQT has incorporated scientists from different backgrounds and fields. David Iván Santiago is the technical lead at AQT overseeing the programmatic technical needs of the program. Santiago also leads the Quantum Information Science and Technology (QuIST) group at Berkeley Lab’s Applied Math and Computational Research division.
This past July, AQT Scientist and Head of Hardware Kasra Nowrouzi hosted a visit from undergraduate students from the University of California, Davis.
