Dr. Dahyun Oh joined the Chemical and Materials Engineering Department at San José State University (SJSU) in 2017 as an assistant professor. Her research group synthesizes inorganic nanomaterials to elucidate the structure-property relationship in electrochemical devices. Her current research focuses on the interfacial reactions at the solid and liquid phase boundary, driven by complex interplays among molecules inside the device. Her background is in bioinspired inorganic nanostructure development for energy storage devices and in situ characterizations of electrochemical devices. Prior to joining SJSU, she was a research scientist at IBM Almaden research center. She obtained her Ph.D. (2014) degree and completed post-doctoral training (2015) at the Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT) in the department of materials science and engineering.
