David I. Santiago has extensive experience in all aspects of scientific and technical program management. His experience with DARPA and IARPA program managers as well as experience in the private field with Northrop Grumman include; shaping, managing and executing programs in microtechnology, condensed matter physics and quantum computation. His hands-on experience with physical modeling and qubit device theory involves modeling qubit gates, qubit readout and characterization and noise in quantum computing. David joined the team at LBNL in 2019 as the science and technology lead for the Advanced Quantum Testbed (AQT). His responsibilities include; set scientific directions through scientific roadmap development and maintenance, set science and technology schedule and tasks, coordinate the internal scientific teams and tasks. David holds a Ph.D. in Physics from Stanford University and an BA in Physics from the University of Puerto Rico.
